Thus Says The LORD

“Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come.” Jeremiah 17:5-6

To trust in man is folly. We will find our failings, our cursing, in the flesh that shall perish, like a bush searching for water in parched lands, yet finding none.

Our eyes will not see. Our ears will not hear. Our soul will not find peace.

Thus saith the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23).

Father, we turn to you daily, rejecting the false hope in the flesh. We bind our hearts to yours. We plead for eyes to be opened, ears to hear, and souls to find rest in your mercy and grace.

We thank and praise your holy name for your lovingkindness!

All is well. Alleluia!
