The Lord Gave, And The Lord Hath Taken Away
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job 1:21
Throughout Job’s immense pain he clung to the perfect authority and sovereignty of our Lord. In turn, God was with Job, as he is with us, so let us, in all ways, for all days, commit ourselves to God.
Calamities will befall us, yet God is with us; blessed be the name of the Lord.
He gives in wisdom; he takes away in wisdom; blessed be the name of the Lord.
His grace and mercy will be showered upon us; blessed be the name of the Lord.
We came into being with nothing and return to life everlasting; blessed be the name of the Lord.
The Lord is our source for life, in this world and the next; blessed be the name of the Lord.
All is well. Alleluia!
