Testing of Faith Produces Steadfastness

“For you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” James 1:3

We are to count it as joy when we fall into various temptations (James 1:2), because the very trying of our faith, works patience, which in turn serves us to continue in our Father’s work.

Our earthly bodies and minds would rather not be tempted. Let us be united in you at all times, Father! Yet, to be tempted is the nature of this fallen world. Evil runs amok, highlighting our weaknesses and preying upon our souls.

As we are tried, let us draw nearer to God, thereby strengthening our faith as we see God work his good work in us.

When moments come that try our faith, let us not turn to fear; let us instead allow the trying to work patience and build wisdom within our souls.

Father, we ask in faith, nothing wavering, for your power and strength.

All is well. Alleluia!
