Sorrow Is Better Than Laughter
“Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.” Ecclesiastes 7:3
Every soul that has suffered through sorrow knows there is thought for others in theirs, as we remember our valleys and seek to lift those from theirs.
Darkness is followed by light. Laughter comes in fullness of spirit, comes in understanding that all shall pass, except for the words of Jesus (Mark 13:31), in whom we find our eternal hope.
When sorrow comes, let it. For the night will break, light will come, and understanding and compassion shall be your reward. The LORD our God will enlighten our darkness.
All is well. Alleluia!
