My Soul Doth Magnify The Lord
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. Luke 1: 46-48
Through the lens of her community, Mary had much to lose by trusting God in the conception and following pregnancy of Jesus.
Yet, she joyfully bowed to our Father’s will for her life; she accepted and embraced that she was to be the mother of the Savior of the world.
She rejoiced where others would tremble in fear.
May we be as fearless as Mary in God’s will for our lives. May our souls magnify the Lord in every way, for every day.
Holy is his name! Greatly rejoice in the Lord!
All is well. Alleluia
