If They Persecute Me, They Will Persecute You

“Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also,” John 15:20

As followers of Christ, we know that we will be persecuted for our faith in the one true God. If the world hates you, know it hated Jesus first.

Let us follow the example of Jesus in blessing those who seek to oppress, to diminish, to destroy, our understanding, knowledge, and devotion to our Savior.

Jesus, cover us, and all who doubt, all who are searching, all who mock your holy name, in your sacrificial saving blood.

We look to the world to come, yet keep our hearts fixed in love for one another in this world.
