For God Did Not Give Us The Spirit Of Timidity
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7
“Did not give us…” The spirit of fear comes from outside of us and we choose to hold it or to rebuke it. Fear is not of God. Fear is of evil.
Rebuke it in every way, in the name of Jesus, for evil cannot stand in the presence of our Lord’s holy name.
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
As we learn and practice to eradicate the taproot of fear, we grow stronger in the Lord; follow his directive of rebuking fear and believing in him (Mark 5:36).
God himself has given us the spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind.
We have the spirit of power: wield it wisely and with love.
We have the spirit of love: use it unsparingly, quenching hate.
We have the spirit of a self-control: engage it often, for your benefit and for those without.
You are the holy, anointed, Spirit-filled children of God. Claim his power, love and soundness.
All is well. Alleluia!
