O Lord, Great Are You And Glorious

“I will sing to my God a new song. O Lord, you are great and glorious, wonderful in strength, invincible.” Judith 16:13

Judith did the seemingly impossible of slaying Holofernes, the Assyrian general, who was ordered by a King’s degree to overtake her people.

She gives thanks to God, knowing the heroic deed was only possible through and with him.

May we ever pray for God’s strength as we face our impossible tasks, journeying to do his holy will.

Lord, we sing a new song of triumphant victory through your invincible stronghold!
