He Endured The Cross, Despising Its Shame
“While keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and protector of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Let us consider Jesus when sin surrounds us, overtakes us, and brings us to our knees, crying for his mercy.
Christ, the source of our faith, endured until the end. He overcame the shame of the sin of the world for our merciful salvation.
When we weary of this world and its troubles, may we ever look to Jesus for the joy set before us and gain strength for the race still left to run. Father, we ask in faith to be sustained.
All is well. Alleluia!
