When You Stand To Pray, Forgive
“When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your transgressions.” Mark 11:25
If we hold on to hurt, to the pain inflicted by others, if we refuse to forgive, then God’s word is clear: our sin will not be forgiven (Mark 11:26).
Just as we sin, just as we hurt others, just as we inflict pain to our fellow man, then pray in remorseful sorrow to be forgiven, so must we forgive.
May we ever pray for forgiveness, for what we have done and for what others have done to us.
Our Father is faithful; his word is clear: to be forgiven, forgive. Amen.
All is well. Alleluia!
