There Was No Room For Them In The Inn
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7
Wherever we are, there is God.
In our moments of unbridled joy to our moments of suffocating sorrow, there is God.
Mary wasn’t offered a room on the Inn. No one offered her security or safety as she labored, or through the birth of her firstborn son, except God. He was there, as the Savior of the world, his beloved Son, Christ Jesus, was brought into the world and laid in a manger.
May we recall Christ’s seemingly lowly birth, may we recall the seemingly desperate moment of being turned away at the Inn, when we find ourselves in similar moments of uncertainty.
God is always present. Joy in the unexpected miraculous that appears to others as unmet expectations. Rejoice evermore!
All is well. Alleluia!
