Then Simon Peter Answered Him, Lord, To Whom Shall We go?

“Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” John 6:68

Eternal life.

Simon Peter knew Jesus was the Way, the Truth, and the everlasting Light, when Jesus asked if the disciples would leave him, as many just had.

Simon Peter offered Jesus the disciple’s already powerfully rooted faith in answer to his question.

“And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.“ John 6:69

They weren’t abandoning Christ Jesus. Nor did he abandon them.

Nor will Jesus abandon us today.

Christ Jesus is ever faithful to us yesterday, today, and all days that follow, unto the hope of our eternal homecoming.

Father strengthen our faith in adversity. When others leave, give us the strength of faith to stay.

We walk in your light and praise your holy name!
