Saving and Seeking The Lost
“For the Son of man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
Jesus saw Zacchaeus in the sycomore tree, and told him to “make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.”
Those who witnessed, murmured, “he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.”
Zacchaeus, a sinner. Jesus, our savior.
We can easily exchange our name for that of Zacchaeus. Jesus, remains the same; the Savior of all.
He seeks and saves that which was lost. Jesus seeks us, he saves us, in every moment of every day. There is no end to his love. It is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
We are blessed beyond measure in the loving care of Christ Jesus.
All is well. Alleluia!
