More Tortuous Than All Else Is The Human Heart
“More tortuous than all else is the human heart, beyond remedy; who can understand it? I, the LORD, alone probe the mind and test the heart, to reward everyone according to his ways, according to the merits of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17: 9-10
Every action, good or bad, has consequence, and our sin is great in this world.
Let us repent of and rebuke our wickedness, in the name of Jesus.
Father, search our heart. We pray that our ways may be pleasing to you, but know we fail miserably daily.
Turn our hearts, minds and bodies to you in all we do. Help us to call to your first, to restrain our wanton desires to return evil for evil, to be of this world.
May our ways, our efforts to align ourselves to you, even in the face of our sin, produce good good fruit, Father.
We wait on you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! We rejoice in the Lord!
All is well. Alleluia!
