Let Us Not Glory In Wisdom Nor Strength Nor Riches
“Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, nor the strong man glory in his strength, nor rich man glory in his riches; but rather, let him who glories, glory in this, that in his prudence he knows me, knows that I, the Lord, bring about kindness, justice, and uprightness on the earth; for with such am I pleased, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24
If it is not of God, let us not boast of our perceived wisdom, our power among men, or our fullness of earthly riches, yet let us proclaim with boldness that we know and understand the loving kindness, the just judgment, and the merciful righteousness of our Father.
Set your affection on things above. In those things, God delights. Amen.
All is well. Alleluia!
