Jesus Answered Him

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

Nicode’mus, a ruler of the Jews, was asking Jesus for understanding when he called for all to be born anew: “Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” (John 3:4)

We know through the words and teaching of Jesus that he is calling for our spiritual rebirth, through water and the Spirit.

May our prayer be for all to be born anew, to be born from above, and enjoy everlasting life in the kingdom to come.
