I Am But Dust; You Are But Dust; All Of The Dust
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Ecclesiastes 3:20
The sentence of death, yet, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one true living God. By his spilled blood, we are free. By his perfect life given, we are free. By his holy sacrifice, we are free.
We are of the dust, we shall return to the dust, and by the mercy, grace, forgiveness, and love of Jesus, our spirit will return to God in his holy place.
Let then this life of dust not be filled with the treasures of this world, with the shine and smoothness of the devil’s false deadly promises, for it is our soul he desires, it is our separation from God that he desires, but let this life instead be filled with the treasures of the next: the mercy, grace, forgiveness, and love of Christ.
Jesus, you are our Morning Son, you are our Evening Star, grant the dust of our earthly lives the strength to see you in all, and prepare our hearts, minds, and souls for the day of our blessed homecoming to you!
All is well. Alleluia!
