Hear Then, O House Of David!
And he said, ” Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:13-14
Immanuel. God is with us.
The glory, the depth of grace and mercy, bestowed upon us in the conception of Jesus, is beyond mortal words of thanksgiving and awe.
A virgin submits to the will of God, in all of the unknown before her in her trembling faith, to conceive and bear our Savior, her Savior. Jesus comes to us through Mary, full of grace, to save the world from sin.
Lord, we ask that the beauty and truth of your words rest in and through all we are and all we do. May we submit in our trembling faith for your glory. Amen.
