God, Be Merciful To Me A Sinner
But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven,
but beat his breast, saying, “God, be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13
Lord, how often we cry to you, begging mercy for our sins. Forgive us this day. Bring us into your light. Keep our souls aligned in your holy will.
We are but Pharisaical sinners in a world full of evil that assures us we are not. Teach us not to exalt our perceived goodness, but to come to you humble and contrite, blessing your holy name!
God, be merciful to me a sinner!
All is well. Alleluia!
