For What Is A Man Profited

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26

To choose Christ is to lose our life as we know it. It is to put aside all that this world calls us to be. It is to replace what we know and trust with what Jesus has prepared for us: a new life, a new creation, in him.

We strive to deny self in all ways. We go about the work of our good good Father. We wait for the Son of God to come again in glory of his Father with his angels.

The gains of this world are but dust; heaven, eternal life, our Father’s house, is what we seek instead.
