Fear Not, Abram: I Am Thy Shield, And Thy Exceeding Great Reward

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Genesis 15:1

Just as with Abram, God is our shield from the arrows of harm; we shall not fear. Our holy Father protects, upholds, and guides his children.

And, just as in the day of Abram, our great reward, in this life and the next, is our God, who transcends the collective goodness in all creation by his very presence.

He has overcome the darkness with The Light: Jesus!

Father, we rejoice in you!

Jesus, The Light of the world, we praise you!

Holy Spirit, we thank you for your healing presence and merciful grace!

Fear not. Hallelujah! Amen.
