And Mary Said, “My Soul Magnifies The Lord

And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord,

And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.

For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed;” Luke 1: 46-48

Through the lens of her community, Mary had much to lose by trusting God in the conception and her pregnancy.

Yet, she joyfully bowed to our Father’s will for her life; she accepted and embraced that she was to be the mother of the Savior of the world.

She rejoiced where others would tremble in fear.

May we be as fearless as Mary in God’s will for our lives. May our souls magnify the Lord in every way, for every day.

Holy is his name! Greatly rejoice in the Lord!
