And Mary Said, Behold The Handmaid Of The Lord
“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38
When the angel appeared to Mary, she became troubled.
When the angel spoke of God’s plan for her, she voiced her concerns.
When the angel calmed her fear and answered her, Mary submitted to our Lord.
Mary surrendered her will to the will of God and through her Jesus came into this world to save mankind.
What a glory! And what a holy example of our collective humanness, to feel fear in the unknown and to question before we proceed.
Holy Father, may we say as Mary did: be it unto me according to thy word.
For with you Lord, nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).
All is well. Alleluia!
