And I Knew Him Not

“And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.” 1 John 33-34

To see the Son of God, to baptize the Son of God – what a mercy-filled sacred moment, not only for John, but for all of God’s people, for all of humanity, forever and ever, amen.

Behold, the Lamb of God. He is here.

Let us follow Jesus into baptism, receiving the promise of the Spirit, receiving redemption unto eternal life (Ephesians 1:13-14).

Repent and be baptized, all ye nations!
