And God Said, “Let There Be Light”

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:3

God created light in the beginning. He illuminated our way through the darkness, to see the glory of his creation.

He created the Light of the World to come, Jesus. He shined the way of forgiveness for our sinful nature, to see eternal life.

Jesus, Son of God, Mighty Counselor, King of Kings, O’ Emmanuel, you are the gift of resplendent light that fills this fallen world with your love and forgiveness. What a joy to our soul. What a blessing to our lives.

May we ever take your light that lives within us, through the Holy Spirit, wherever we may go.

The kingdom of heaven is at hand!
