A Faithful Saying
“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15
“…of whom I am chief.”
It is overwhelming to meditate upon Christ’s shed blood for our salvation, for my salvation, a sinner.
He knowingly walked unto his torture and fearful death to conquer all sin. Your sin. My sin.
He was faithful; he accepted God’s will.
As a chief sinner, I am crushed by my weakness and willful following of my own desires instead of walking in faith with God in his will for me.
Yet, Jesus.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of acceptance: without the saving grace of Christ, we would perish in our sin.
Have no fear. The battle is won. Our sin has been paid for and forgiven. Life everlasting is our merciful gift.
Thank you, Jesus! We praise your holy name!
All is well. Alleluia!
