For Both Mercy And Wrath Are With Him

Do not say, “His mercy is great, he will forgive the multitude of my sins,” for both mercy and wrath are with him, and his anger rests on sinners. Sirach 5:6

Let us not grow complacent, knowing we are drenched in the sacrificial blood of Jesus. God’s mercy is great, indeed, but is wrath can bring down nations.

Father, we come to you daily, hourly, and plead forgiveness for our sins. We run to your mercy and pray your wrath is cancelled by our intention not to sin, then our calling out to you when we fail.

Keep us ever in your sight, O LORD. Never leave us, nor forsake us, as we continue the great struggle to be more like you in a fallen world.

We praise your holy name and thank you for your mercy!

All is well, indeed.
