Let The Children Come To Me
Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Luke 18:15-17
Receive the kingdom of God like a child. Amen.
Adults have a depth of knowledge and understanding that supersedes childlike ways. Yet, Jesus calls on us to come to him with the innocent awe and expectation of babes loved by their Father.
To come to the kingdom with hearts wide open and unhindered by the brokenness of the world, profoundly and intimately knowing that He who is, the holy I AM, Creator of all, perpetually seeks our trusting gaze.
God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, pursues our company as an adoring parent. May we never outgrow our call: ABBA! Here we are!
May the blessings of the kingdom be upon us this day. Alleluia!
