I Have Not Come To Bring Peace, But A Sword
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34
There is no peace in this present world, nor will there ever be.
The spirit of evil is cruel and ever testing our resolve to stay in the light of our Savior. Evil seeks to keep us in the shadow of death.
Yet, the sword of Jesus is mighty and able to save.
Jesus fights for our souls; he fights for our eternal lives.
The saving of souls means conversion from sin – wrestling a soul from Satan is never peaceful: it is full-on war.
WAR. Fighting to the death. No peace. Not until we return home.
Lord, we thank you for your devotion to us. We join you in your holy fight for those who remain in the shadow of death. We war on in your name, for ourselves and others, until you call us home.
We are all one in Christ Jesus.
Onward!
All is well. Alleluia!
