I Myself Did Not Know Him

“I myself did not know him; but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.” John 1:33-34

To see the Son of God, to baptize the Son of God – what a mercy-filled sacred moment, not only for John, but for all of God’s people, for all of humanity, forever and ever, amen.

Behold, the Lamb of God. He is here.

Let us follow Jesus into baptism, receiving the promise of the Spirit, receiving redemption unto eternal life (Ephesians 1:13-14).

Repent and be baptized, all ye nations!
