You Shall Not Put The LORD Your God To The Test

“You shall not put the LORD your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah.” Deuteronomy 6:16

God is sovereign; he alone has supreme authority over every living thing.

When our lives do not go as we had hope, when struggle with the reality of our hardships, let us remember God’s loving care and not test his goodness.

Instead, let us call to mind his grace and mercy that are upon us from before our time of conception until our holy homecoming, even, especially, in the times where we cannot see or understand.

Guide us, O Lord!
