Count It All Joy When You Meet Various Trials

“Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4

Brethren denotes our spiritual kinship with one another. As it is in God’s word, let it be between us.

Our trials are not for nought: they produce strength and clarity of faith; our suffering is to be counted as joy, all of it as joy, knowing we continue to grow in wisdom, towards perfection.

Not a simple task, yet let us never weary of it; be steadfast through this life and may we praise God that we are united, not only with him, but with our spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ.
