Your Father Knows What You Need Before You Ask Him
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:7-8
Our good good Father knows what we need before we utter a word. Glory, LORD!
He says to come to him in our need, to ask of him anything and every thing, yet his wisdom and understanding of our need proceeds our prayers, our pleadings.
Why then should we ask of God? For communion with the One who knit us in our mother’s womb. To build our wandering faith. To witness the manifestation of his word despite our doubt. To lay our brokenness at his throne for redemption.
Ask and believe that his will shall be done, nay, is already done.
Come to God, through Jesus, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Only then will you discern that you are his beloved in every way, cared for and loved for eternity.
All is well. Alleluia!
