Yet, The Inward Man Is Renewed Day By Day

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

When we awake empty of faith, empty of hope, empty of joy, O LORD, let us faint not.

Our bodies will fail us. Our spirit will abandon us. Our understanding will flee from us.

Yet, you are here in our midst, always. Yet, inwardly, you renew us daily through the strains and vexations of this world.

Lord, when our faith is trampled and our strength waning, we stand on the hope and truth of your word.

Ever renew us, O LORD. Allow only your understanding and wisdom.

Though we falter, you are here; you sustain us, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

All is well. Alleluia.
