The Same Day Came To Him The Sadducees

“The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,” Matthew 22:23

The Sadducees, Jewish aristocracy, did not believe in the resurrection and they came to Jesus, not to question in love or hoping to find wisdom, but in hopes of entrapment.

When they failed, they took council with the Pharisees, looking for a way to entangle him in his words.

They failed.

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29

On this holy day the Lord has ordained to be, seek the words of Christ. Read. Pray. Gain wisdom of the power of God.
