Prepare The Way Of The Lord

³ And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

⁴ As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Luke 3:3-4

John prepared the way of the Lord. He preached the coming of the Lion of Judah, Jesus.

He baptized by water, the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, yet prepared hearts that Jesus would soon baptize all who sought him with the Holy Ghost and fire: “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.” John 3:17

May we bow before God’s throne, coming to him through his beloved son, Jesus, baptized with the Holy Ghost.

May our faith roar through every trial, knowing the Lion of Judah goes behind us, with us, and before us.
